Capital Group appoints Guillermo Veiga as Chief Information Officer

Capital Group, a major global active investment manager, has appointed Guillermo Veiga as its new Chief Information Officer. Veiga is scheduled to join the company in November, succeeding Marta Zarraga, who will retire at the end of the year.

Veiga moves to California from Singapore, where he currently serves as the Group Chief Information and Operations Officer at Standard Chartered Bank. His professional background includes senior leadership roles at Amazon Web Services, Cisco, and Banco Santander.

Rob Klausner, Chief Operating Officer at Capital Group, noted that technology, data, and AI are increasingly vital to the firm's ability to deliver investment excellence and scale operations. Veiga expressed interest in leading the company during a period of global expansion and technological transformation.
