Turkey's SPK files criminal complaints over Odine Solutions shares
The Capital Markets Board of Turkey (SPK) has filed criminal complaints against 21 individuals following an investigation into market manipulation involving Odine Solutions Teknoloji Ticaret ve Sanayi AŞ (ODINE) shares. The investigation determined that the transactions in question violated Article 107/1 of the Capital Markets Law, which prohibits actions intended to create misleading impressions regarding the price, price changes, or supply and demand of capital market instruments.
In addition to the criminal complaints, the SPK imposed a two-year ban on all 21 individuals from trading on Borsa Istanbul and other organized markets. Furthermore, 16 of these individuals have had all their capital market licenses revoked for the duration of the trading ban.
In separate regulatory decisions, the SPK approved several debt instrument issuances, including a 30 billion TL structured debt instrument and a 100 billion TL bond/finance bill ceiling for Akbank, as well as various issuances for İş Faktoring, Koç Stellantis Finansman, and QNB Bank. The Board also authorized several fund mergers and expanded the operational scope for Neo Menkul Değerler AŞ.
