Capital One and Chase adjust travel credit offers on US cards

The change mirrors a recent update by Chase, which doubled the Sapphire Preferred card’s yearly hotel credit from $50 to $100 without raising its $95 annual fee.

Chase’s Sapphire Preferred card still provides a 100,000‑point sign‑up bonus when applicants use personal referral links, even though the public website now lists a 75,000‑point offer. The referral bonus may be removed soon, but it remains accessible through existing cardholder referrals, granting both the new cardholder and the referrer additional points. Both cards feature travel‑related perks such as insurance coverage and a $100 hotel credit when booked via the issuer’s travel portal.
