Capital University hosts hearing on innovation for Egypt Forum 2026

Capital University hosted an academic hearing session focused on creativity, innovation, and entrepreneurship. This event serves as part of the preparatory steps for the upcoming ‘Egypt Forum 2026: A Look at Today, A Vision for Tomorrow.’

Responding to an invitation from President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi to expand dialogue with academics, experts, and youth regarding national development, the session brought together university leaders, faculty, and innovation center officials. Discussions centered on fostering innovation environments within universities, supporting creative research, and promoting entrepreneurship among students. A key objective of the dialogue was exploring ways to bridge the gap between scientific research and the needs of the labor market and society.

Dr. El Sayed Kandil, President of Capital University, opened the session, which included participation from advisors to the Ministry of Planning and the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research. Dr. Kandil emphasized that universities are vital environments for exchanging expertise and that these hearings are essential for gathering diverse perspectives to shape the future of education and research.
