CapitaLand Malaysia Trust reports 21.6% rise in Q3 DPU

CapitaLand Malaysia Trust (CLMT) announced a 21.6% year-on-year increase in its third-quarter distribution per unit (DPU), rising to RM0.0135 from RM0.0111. The growth was primarily driven by contributions from industrial and logistics properties acquired in 2025, including the Synergy Logistics Hub in Selangor and facilities in Johor.

During the quarter ended September 30, the trust reported distributable income of RM46.3 million, a 32.2% increase from RM35.1 million the previous year. Revenue grew 9.1% to RM126.5 million, while net property income rose 14.9% to RM79.4 million. Net profit for the period increased by 35.5% to RM47 million.

Key drivers for the performance included positive rental reversions, scheduled rental increases, and higher contributions from existing retail assets. The retail portfolio achieved a positive rental reversion of 11.3% for the first nine months of the year. Additionally, finance costs fell 7.9% due to interest savings from refinancing and lower average debt costs, which declined to 4.07% from 4.27% a year earlier.
