Capitão Alberto Neto proposes disability support in Amazonas

Capitão Alberto Neto, a candidate for the Senate from Amazonas, has presented a series of proposals aimed at improving support for people with disabilities and 'atypical mothers' in the region.

During a meeting in Manaus, Neto proposed expanding access to therapies and establishing multi-professional and multi-sensory centers in both the capital and the state's interior to reduce the need for families to travel for specialized care. He also emphasized the importance of supporting the caregivers themselves, stating, “Caring for those who care. This is the commitment I want to take to the Senate.”

Additionally, the candidate advocated for legislative changes regarding the Continuous Provision Benefit (BPC). He suggested a review of the rules to ensure that minor changes in family income do not result in the loss of benefits, particularly for families facing high costs related to medication, transport, and specialized therapies.
