Capivari de Baixo authorities investigate suspected abuse of 2-year-old boy

A 2-year-old boy with non-verbal Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) was rescued in Capivari de Baixo, Santa Catarina, following reports of suspected physical abuse. Firefighters discovered the child in a crib with bruises on his head, neck, and thighs.

The incident, which occurred in the central region of the municipality, involved the Military Police and the Guardianship Council (Conselho Tutelar). The child received pre-hospital care at the scene before being transferred to Hospital Nossa Senhora da Conceição in Tubarão for medical evaluation. Authorities are investigating the case to determine responsibility for the injuries.
