Capo d'Orlando opposition urges action on Orlandina Calcio stadium crisis

The municipal opposition group ‘CambiAmo Capo’ has issued an urgent inquiry to the Mayor and City Council of Capo d'Orlando regarding the non-certification of the ‘Pissi – Ciccino Micale’ stadium. Following an inspection by FIGC officials, the playing field failed to meet the requirements for renewal, creating what local officials describe as a sports emergency.

Massimo Romagnoli, president of ASD Orlandina Calcio, has warned that the lack of a certified home ground could force the club to withdraw from upcoming competitions. The opposition group emphasized that the issue affects not only the professional club, which has represented the city since 1946, but also local youth soccer schools and families.

To resolve the crisis, the group is calling for the administration to identify necessary repairs, determine costs, and establish a timeline for restoration. While the club recently secured a 1-0 victory against Comprensorio Tindari, the match had to be played behind closed doors at an alternative venue due to the stadium's status.
