Capoeira practitioners hold competitions and community events in Brazil

Capoeira practitioners in Brazil recently participated in various cultural and competitive events. In Tangará da Serra, the 15th Fest Capoeira VIP featured a delegation from Capoeira VIP de Nova Olímpia, which secured five podium finishes. Notable winners included Iuna, who took first place in the Infantojuvenil category, and Bumerangue, who earned second place in the Mirim 1 category.

In Rio Verde, the 'Capoeira pela Paz' event was held at Parque Zilda Arns to celebrate the municipality's 178th anniversary. Organized by the local government, the event focused on community integration through musical performances, acrobatic displays, and a public capoeira class. Mestre Camarada emphasized that the practice serves as a tool for education, discipline, and social unity among different generations.
