Capoliveri Opens New Municipal Library to Serve Community

On 29 July 2026 the new Capoliveri Municipal Library and Historical Archive were inaugurated before a large crowd. Mayor Walter Montagna said, “Un altro tassello si aggiunge ai servizi del nostro Comune,” highlighting its role as a cultural hub. The library, located on Via Mellini 23, will open to the public in September with hours Mon‑Fri 15:00‑18:00 and Sat 09:00‑12:00. It houses around a thousand volumes and shares space with the municipal historic archive, overseen by archivist Dr Gloria Peria, while local booksellers contributed books for the collection.

Meanwhile in Cuneo, the Arcipelago community centre continues its weekly “aperture fisse” sessions on Fridays from 18:30 to 22:30. The July 31 programme offers a polymer‑clay earring‑making workshop led by Romina, a children’s “mini‑universe in a jar” activity with Valentina Giancola, a free clothing swap corner, and foosball practice ahead of a tournament. The events take place at Arcipelago, Corso Giolitti 31 (entrance via Via Meucci 32‑34). Participation requires a reservation and, for the earring workshop, a membership contribution; children attend free with an ARCI card.
