Cappadocia excavations reveal ancient aristocratic ruins and mosaics
Archaeological excavations in the Örenşehir region of Cappadocia have uncovered significant remains of an ancient aristocratic residence, including floor mosaics. These findings provide new insights into the civil architecture and social life of the region during antiquity.
Cappadocia Site Manager Aydın Cem Aslanbay met with Dr. Can Erpek from Nevşehir Hacı Bektaş Veli University to evaluate the discoveries. Aslanbay noted that uncovering these examples of civil architecture contributes to the scientific analysis of the region's historical layers and provides a more holistic understanding of the cultural heritage.
