Cappadocia hosts fourth annual Medieval Fair in Ürgüp
The fourth annual Medieval Fair was held in Ürgüp, located within the Cappadocia region of Turkey. The event, held on Bey Street, featured stalls showcasing medieval clothing, armor, and accessories.
Performances included music played on period-accurate instruments by artists from Hungary and Serbia. The festival attracted thousands of tourists from approximately 25 different countries, including visitors from Germany, the Netherlands, Ukraine, Russia, Hungary, and Serbia.
Organizer Muammer Erinal stated that the festival provides a unique alternative for regional tourism. Participants, including athletes from Russia, demonstrated the use of historical armor as specialized sporting equipment.
