Cappadocia officials focus on tourism standards and heritage preservation
Cappadocia Area Presidency officials are implementing new measures to enhance tourism and preserve historical sites in the region.
In discussions with the Association of Turkish Travel Agencies (TÜRSAB), authorities evaluated the current state of tourism-related sporting activities. The focus is on increasing service quality, establishing safety standards, and improving inspection mechanisms to boost visitor satisfaction and protect the region's international brand value.
Simultaneously, efforts are underway to protect the Kadıkalesi historical site in Ürgüp. Through the Kadıkalesi Risk Reduction Project, the Area Presidency is collaborating with academics to analyze structural stability and damage reports. This scientific approach aims to identify existing risks and implement strategies to preserve the site's original texture for future generations.
