Caprara d'Abruzzo to host celebrations for Saints Cosmas and Damian

Caprara d'Abruzzo is set to host traditional celebrations in honor of Saints Cosmas and Damian on October 10 and 11, 2026. Organized by the Parish of Saints Cosmas and Damian, the local festival committee, and the Municipality of Spoltore, the event combines religious devotion with cultural and musical entertainment.

The schedule begins Saturday, October 10, with morning Mass, followed by traditional music from the Accordion and Organetto School led by Maestro Paolo Esposito. The evening will feature a live performance by the Rino Gaetano tribute band, I Bicchierino.

On Sunday, October 11, festivities include a parade by the Banda Città di Silvi, an official commemoration at the Monument to the Fallen, and a solemn Mass. A traditional procession will take place at noon. The event concludes Sunday evening with a concert by the group Scena Muta. Throughout the weekend, an area dedicated to Abruzzese gastronomic specialties will be available.
