Caprichosos de Pilares distances itself from Cahê Rodrigues' comments on Xuxa

The samba school Caprichosos de Pilares has issued a public statement to distance itself from recent comments made by carnival designer Cahê Rodrigues regarding presenter Xuxa Meneghel.

In a recent interview, Rodrigues expressed a desire for the entertainer to show more recognition for the tribute the school paid her during the 2004 Carnival. The school clarified via social media that it has not made any requests for Xuxa to mention the tribute during her upcoming shows and emphasized that Rodrigues no longer has any official ties to the institution.

The organization noted that the statements made in the interview are the sole responsibility of the former designer and do not represent the views or positions of the samba school.
