Capricorn Foundation expands entrepreneurship programme in Namibia
The Capricorn Foundation, in partnership with Unmatched Potential, is expanding its “Be Your Own Boss” Vocational Graduate Entrepreneurship Programme to Otjiwarongo, Swakopmund, and Outapi in Namibia.
Following a successful pilot in Swakopmund, the second phase of the initiative will provide three months of entrepreneurship coaching, mentorship, and practical business development support to 32 new vocational graduates. The program aims to help technical trainees transition into sustainable self-employment by providing essential business knowledge and skills.
Under the expansion, 10 candidates will be selected from Swakopmund, 10 from Otjiwarongo, and 12 from Outapi. Additionally, five graduates from the initial cohort will continue to receive support. Veripura Muukua, Head of the Capricorn Foundation, stated that the vocational sector is essential for Namibia’s economic growth and for addressing unemployment through entrepreneurship.
