Capricorn Foundation pledges N$500,000 to Namibian youth development
The Capricorn Foundation has pledged N$500,000 to the One Economy Foundation to support the #BeFree Youth Campus in Namibia. The investment aims to provide education, skills development, and empowerment for young people.
The funding will finance 21 different programmes, including STEM and robotics, digital literacy, entrepreneurship development, leadership training, and after-school academic support. The initiative is expected to directly benefit approximately 2,400 adolescents and young people, while indirectly impacting over 8,000 community members through enhanced family wellbeing and community engagement.
Marlize Horn, Executive Director of the Capricorn Foundation, stated that investing in the education and well-being of young people creates opportunities for individual success and contributes to a more resilient economy and stronger communities.
