Captain N Kenguruse Memorial Football Tournament dates and venue changed

The 10th edition of the Captain N Kenguruse, Maha Vir Chakra (MVC) Memorial Football Tournament 2026-27 has undergone schedule and venue changes. The tournament will now take place from November 2 to 9 at the Indira Gandhi Stadium in Kohima.

Originally scheduled to run until November 10 and include matches at the Chümoukedima Football Stadium, the event was shortened and consolidated at a single venue to avoid clashing with the Nagaland State & Para Games (NSPG) 2026. Additionally, the Chümoukedima venue is unavailable due to upcoming turf renovations for the Indian Football League.

The tournament is organized by the Spear Corps of the Indian Army and the Inspectorate General Assam Rifles (North) in collaboration with the Nagaland Football Association. Following requests from participants, the registration deadline has been extended to 8:00 PM on October 17. This year's edition features an increased prize pool of Rs. 8.69 lakh, with the winning team set to receive Rs. 4 lakh.
