Captain Tsubasa 2: World Fighters reveals new gameplay and customization

Bandai Namco and developer Tamsoft have released new details regarding the upcoming title Captain Tsubasa 2: World Fighters. A new trailer showcases a match between the youth national teams of Germany and Brazil.

The game features over 110 playable characters and 22 national teams. It includes an expanded story based on the World Youth arc, developed under the supervision of the original creator, Yōichi Takahashi. Players can engage in a mode called ‘New Stars,’ which allows for the creation of a custom athlete. This custom player can join the Japanese youth national team, progress through the story, and unlock or modify abilities and techniques learned from allies and opponents.

Customization options include hair, eyes, and accessories, with the ability to modify the character's appearance at any time through an in-game menu. The game is scheduled for release on August 28.
