Capuchin Friars hold religious events in Giovinazzo and Camerino

In Giovinazzo, the Sanctuary of the Holy Crucifix is hosting an evening of Eucharistic adoration as part of the ‘Notte dei Santuari’ initiative. Organized by the CEI national office for the pastoral care of leisure, tourism, and sport, the event is led by Bishop Domenico Basile to prepare the community for the Solemnity of All Saints.

In Camerino, the Renacavata site, which served as the first convent for the Capuchin Friars starting in 1529, is currently ranked second in the national FAI ‘Luogo del Cuore 2026’ competition. The site holds significant historical value, having been established after Pope Clement VII recognized the Franciscan experience in 1528. The location features notable religious art, including a polychrome glazed terracotta piece by Santi Buglioni commissioned by Duchess Caterina Cybo.
