Capufe receives 1.5 million pesos for tanker explosion damage
A company has paid 1,499,940.83 pesos to Caminos y Puentes Federales (Capufe) to repair damage caused by a tanker truck explosion on the Iguala-Puente de Ixtla highway in Guerrero last July.
The Federal Attorney General's Office (FGR) announced that federal justice approved an immediate settlement agreement, ensuring the full recovery of the funds. The agreement was reached through mediation by the FGR's Specialized Body for Alternative Dispute Resolution Mechanisms (OEMASC), which facilitated a dialogue to avoid a lengthy and costly trial for the state.
The incident, which occurred on July 3 at kilometer 38+500, involved a semi-trailer and caused significant material damage to the highway, though no victims were reported. Following the full compensation, the investigation into damages to general communication routes will be permanently closed.
