CAPUFE Sets 2026 Electronic Toll Guidelines for IAVE System

Caminos y Puentes Federales de Ingresos y Servicios Conexos (CAPUFE) released new service guidelines for the IAVE electronic toll system, published in the Diario Oficial de la Federación. The rules become effective on Thursday, 30 July 2026 and establish the framework for telepeaje operations at CAPUFE toll plazas.

Users must obtain a personal, non‑transferable Tag IAVE through the IAVE portal or at CAPUFE plazas and install it on the windshield. The tag has a five‑year lifespan and can be cancelled for misuse. Payments are accepted via a prepaid simple option or a postpaid method linked to a bank card. CAPUFE will also run a Telepeaje Call Center (CATT) to monitor and block anomalous device activity.
