The 16th edition of the Feria de la Catrina has opened in Capula, Michoacán, celebrating local artisanal talent and the traditions of the Day of the Dead. The event, organized in coordination with the Casa de las Artesanías de Michoacán (Casart), will run until November 3.

During the opening ceremony, Casart Director General Cástor Estrada Robles announced that 76 pieces created by 56 artisans were entered into the competition. Twenty-five winners received a total prize pool of 90,000 pesos. The participating works are available for purchase at the Capula Cultural Center.
