Capurso: Former Cinema Enal reopens for Nicola Lagioia book launch

The former Cinema Enal in Capurso will reopen for a single day on Wednesday, October 28, to host the presentation of “Santa Barbara”, the new novel by author Nicola Lagioia, published by Einaudi.

Lagioia, who has roots in Capurso, chose the location because the novel is set in the town and reflects his childhood memories. Mayor Michele Laricchia noted that the event serves as a special occasion to reconnect the community with the venue before further seismic safety works and renovations are completed. The building, which has been closed for over 30 years, is intended to eventually serve as a permanent cultural space.
