Drivers can improve air‑conditioning efficiency and lower fuel consumption by preparing the vehicle before turning the system on. Keep the filter clean and replace it every 15‑20 000 km, limit recirculation to short periods, and aim vents upward for even airflow. Turning the AC off before reaching the destination helps the body adjust and saves fuel.

When choosing between open windows and AC, speed matters.
