Car crashes into tree and building fire generate black smoke across Dutch towns

On the morning of 10 July, a driver was killed after a car collided with a tree on the Haskerveldweg in Joure, Netherlands, at about 02:20. In a separate incident, a fire broke out in a building elsewhere in the country, producing black smoke that prompted a response from emergency services.

Both events were reported alongside a series of other local incidents, including vehicle collisions with poles and streetlights, a fire on a roundabout in Tiel, and a stabbing in Noordwolde.
