Car rollover in Tijuana leaves one woman injured

A vehicle rollover on the Vía Rápida Alamar in Tijuana resulted in one woman being injured on Monday morning. The incident occurred around 6:00 a.m. near the Manuel J. Clouthier boulevard.

A 43-year-old man driving a beige Subaru lost control of his vehicle and fell into the Tijuana River canalization. Before falling, the vehicle struck a concrete barrier, which was projected into the traffic lanes of the Vía Rápida Alamar. The barrier then collided with a Fiat compact car.

A 34-year-old female passenger in the Fiat sustained injuries and was transported by Red Cross paramedics to a hospital. The driver of the Fiat was unharmed. Municipal police detained the Subaru driver, who possessed a driver's license but lacked vehicle insurance. He has been presented to the State Attorney General's Office to determine responsibility for the accident and material damages.
