Car thieves steal Audi A7 from garage in Ermenswil

Thieves broke into a car garage in Ermenswil, St. Gallen, during the night on Tuesday, causing property damage exceeding 10,000 Swiss francs. The perpetrators gained entry to an office container through a window, where they ransacked furniture and stole a vehicle key.

Using the stolen key, the suspects took an Audi A7 parked outside. Following a brief pursuit involving the St. Gallen Cantonal Police and support from the Schwyz and Zurich police forces, the vehicle was located damaged in the Egg area. The suspects had abandoned the car and fled into an unknown direction; a manhunt has so far been unsuccessful. The St. Gallen Cantonal Police have launched an investigation into the incident.
