‘Cara de cona’ wins Cartagena Negra award, eligible for Goya nomination

The short film ‘Cara de cona’, directed by Guillermo de Oliveira, has won the 10th edition of the Black Short Film Award at the Cartagena Negra festival. This victory marks a historic milestone for the festival, as it has been recognized as an official certifying festival for the Goya Awards. Consequently, the winning film will have direct access to consideration by the Spanish Film Academy for a potential Goya nomination.

Produced by Zapruder Pictures and distributed by Madrid en Corto, the 17-minute black comedy follows a protagonist named Moncho whose relationship with a new neighbor evolves into a dark obsession. The film features a cast including Milo Taboada, Diego Anido, Nancho Novo, and Cristina Andrade.
