Caraș-Severin County Council advances road and energy projects

The Caraș-Severin County Council has approved several major infrastructure and energy projects. Regarding the modernization of DJ 571, Council President Silviu Hurduzeu reported that payments to the contractor have exceeded 11 million lei, with an additional 1.5 million lei in invoices pending. The total project value has risen to over 299.3 million lei from an initial 247.85 million lei due to updated technical and economic indicators, with 208.68 million lei sourced from non-reimbursable European funds.

Additionally, the Council voted on a project to establish a photovoltaic park valued at over 18 million lei. This initiative aims to cover the energy consumption of the County Council and its subordinate institutions, including the local hospital, museums, and social assistance offices. The project includes an eligible funding amount of nearly 14 million lei and a self-contribution of 4.6 million lei from the Council.
