Carabineros de Chile inaugurates first transitory school in Quirihue
The first Transitory School of the Carabineros de Chile has been inaugurated in Quirihue, located in the Ñuble Region. The ceremony, held at the Plaza de Armas, welcomed 90 student officers and was attended by high-ranking officials, including General Director of Carabineros Marcelo Araya, Regional Governor Óscar Crisóstomo, and Mayor Eduardo Redlich.
The facility operates within the former Casiano Andrade boarding school, which was repurposed through a collaborative effort between the Regional Government and the Municipality of Quirihue. Governor Crisóstomo noted that the school aims to provide local youth in the Ñuble Region with opportunities to train within their own territory while strengthening regional security.
General Director Marcelo Araya stated that the establishment is part of a master plan to strengthen education through the creation of training groups in every region of the country. This strategic initiative is intended to increase the number of officers available to meet growing societal security demands.
