Carabineros de Chile time capsule tours San Antonio and Cartagena

As part of the ‘Camino al Centenario’ project to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the institution, Carabineros de Chile is conducting a national tour with a time capsule designed to preserve current history, identity, and community values for future generations.

The capsule will visit the San Antonio province on Friday and Saturday. In San Antonio, the tour includes stops at Talud 21 de Mayo, the Municipal building, and the Provincial Delegation. On Saturday, the initiative moves to Cartagena, with scheduled stops at the local police station, Plaza de Armas, Plaza Kennedy, the Railway Station, and the Vicente Huidobro Museum.

The capsule aims to collect photographs, testimonies, objects, and messages reflecting contemporary society and the relationship between the police force and the citizenry. Once the tour is complete, the capsule will be buried to be opened in the year 2127.
