Carabineros rescue Argentine tourists trapped by snow in Atacama

Carabineros rescue two Argentine tourists trapped by snow in the Atacama Region. The couple was stranded in their vehicle due to heavy snow and adverse weather conditions in the Piedra Pómez mountain sector.

Specialized Mountain and Border Search and Rescue personnel conducted a six-kilometer trek at an altitude of 4,600 meters to locate the individuals. The rescue was completed around 01:40 hours, and both tourists were found in good health.
