Carabiniere Ignazio Caredda dies after motorcycle accident in Trapani

Ignazio Caredda, a 59-year-old Appuntato Scelto of the Carabinieri, has died following a motorcycle collision in Trapani, Italy. The incident occurred shortly after midnight on via Virgilio, near the intersection of via Francesco Manzo and via Capitano Bruno.

Caredda, who served with the Radiomobile unit of the Trapani Carabinieri Company, was traveling home after completing his work shift when his motorcycle collided with another vehicle emerging from a side street. He was transported to the Sant’Antonio Abate hospital in critical condition but succumbed to his injuries in the intensive care unit later that morning.

The driver of the other vehicle involved in the crash was also injured. State police are currently conducting investigations to reconstruct the exact dynamics of the collision and determine responsibility.
