Carabinieri appoint new station commanders in Vejano and Castel Sant’Elia

New commanders have been appointed to lead the Carabinieri stations in Vejano and Castel Sant’Elia.

Maresciallo Ordinario Stefano Frison assumed command of the Vejano station on June 25. Frison, born in 1981 and originally from the Viterbo province, joined the Carabinieri in 2001. His career includes service with the 5th Battalion ‘Emilia Romagna’, the Bologna Arcoveggio station, and the Campagnano di Roma station. He previously served at the Castel Sant’Elia station as a non-commissioned officer before taking command there in September 2022.

Maresciallo Ordinario Andrea Bitti took command of the Castel Sant’Elia station on June 30. Born in 1996 and also from the Viterbo province, Bitti joined the force in 2017. His professional background includes service at the Follonica station in Tuscany, training at the Carabinieri School in Florence, and serving as a squad commander for the 6th Tuscany Battalion. Most recently, he served at the Baschi station.
