Italy sees institutional leadership changes and heritage initiatives

Italy is experiencing a series of institutional leadership changes across various law enforcement and administrative sectors. In Calabria, the Carabinieri command in Cosenza has introduced a new team of officers to strengthen territorial presence and combat organized crime. Additionally, General Riccardo Sciuto is transitioning from leading the Calabria Carabinieri Legion to heading the Carabinieri Command for Health Protection.

In Crotone, the Coast Guard is undergoing a change in command as Captain Domenico Morello departs for a new role in Reggio Calabria, succeeded by Captain Pasquale Mazza. Similarly, the Guardia di Finanza in Umbria has seen General Giovanni Salerno take over as Regional Commander from General Francesco Mazzotta.

On the cultural front, several initiatives are promoting Italian heritage. The ‘Carte in dimora’ national event, organized by the Associazione Dimore Storiche Italiane, will open over 110 private archives and libraries across Italy, including sites in Pisa and Tuscany, to the public. In Cosenza, the State Archive is hosting an exhibition of five centuries of parchment documents as part of the European Heritage Days.
