Carabinieri arrest Cucciago drug pusher in Como forest, seize cocaine and hashish
On 7 July 2026, Carabinieri from the Fino Mornasco station in the province of Como launched a targeted operation in a forested area near the town after receiving multiple resident complaints about continuous traffic of people and cars linked to drug dealing.
The police stopped two vehicles; the 48‑year‑old driver from Porlezza and the 50‑year‑old passenger from Valsolda voluntarily handed over about 2 g of cocaine and 5 g of hashish. A 36‑year‑old repeat offender from Cucciago, identified as the pusher, was later apprehended as he emerged from the vegetation. He was found with roughly 2 g of cocaine, 1 g of hashish, a mobile phone and packaging material. He is being held in custody pending a direct‑order trial.
