Carabinieri arrest four drug dealers near Reggio Emilia railway station
On 22 June 2026, Carabinieri and the State Police's mobile unit conducted a series of arrests in the railway‑station district of Reggio Emilia, Italy. Four individuals were detained: three Egyptian nationals aged 20, 24 and another 24‑year‑old, and a 26‑year‑old local Italian. The suspects were found with significant amounts of hashish – 35 g, 41 g and 26 g respectively – as well as cash totaling several hundred euros. One detainee also possessed an illegal pepper‑spray device and a large cutter classified as a weapon. All were charged with illegal possession of weapons and trafficking of narcotics and released pending further legal proceedings.
The operation was part of ongoing efforts to clear “red zones” in the city, targeting drug distribution networks operating near public venues.
