Carabinieri arrest four suspects in Marche theft ring
Carabinieri have executed precautionary measures against four individuals, aged between 26 and 30, suspected of a series of thefts and criminal activities in the Marche region.
The investigation, coordinated by the Ancona Public Prosecutor's Office, was triggered by a theft on May 12, 2026, at a private club in Rosora, where a cash register containing 197 euros was stolen. Surveillance footage revealed the suspects used a vehicle that had been stolen in Chiaravalle in late April.
Between May 3 and August 1, 2026, the group allegedly committed multiple thefts, including targeting bars in Moie and Jesi to steal alcohol and small amounts of cash. They also targeted an electronics store in Jesi, where they used a stolen wallet to make unauthorized purchases. Most recently, on August 1, they allegedly stole lottery tickets and scratch cards worth 2,645 euros from a newsstand in Staffolo.
