Carabinieri arrest motorcyclist after high-speed chase in Castelletto Ticino

Carabinieri officers arrested a 37-year-old Italian man following a high-speed motorcycle chase in Castelletto Ticino. The incident began in Piazza 25 Aprile when the man ignored an order to stop and instead fled at high speed along Corso Matteotti.

During the pursuit, the motorcyclist performed dangerous maneuvers, overtaking vehicles in traffic and narrowly missing pedestrians on crosswalks. The individual managed to cross the Ponte di Ferro to reach the Piedmont side before disappearing.

Law enforcement used surveillance footage to identify the suspect's residence. Upon arrest, authorities discovered the motorcycle lacked insurance. Following orders from the Public Prosecutor's Office at the Court of Novara, the man was placed under house arrest pending an immediate trial.
