Italian Carabinieri intervene in separate violent incidents – domestic abuse and supermarket assault

In Tolentino, central Italy, Carabinieri and radiomobile troops placed a 34‑year‑old construction worker under urgent house‑removal orders after he violently assaulted his 34‑year‑old pregnant partner. The victim received emergency care for personal injuries and was taken to a local medical centre. Police forwarded the case to the judiciary for charges of family maltreatment and personal injury.

In Scandiano, Emilia‑Romagna, a 31‑year‑old woman was arrested after a failed shoplifting attempt at a Conad supermarket escalated into a violent confrontation with Carabinieri. She assaulted officers with kicks, punches, bites and spat, and was found carrying a folding knife and a serrated blade. The woman was detained, received medical assistance, and faces charges of attempted theft, resistance and violence against public officials.
