Carabinieri arrest teen in Bronte and woman in Naples with large drug caches

In Bronte, near the San Giuseppe Youth Centre and a local school, Carabinieri stopped a 17‑year‑old who hurried away on sight. A personal search uncovered more than 25 g of marijuana, over 2 g of hashish, 14 pre‑packed marijuana doses, a grinder and €65 in cash, indicating intent to traffic. Further checks at his home revealed additional drug‑related equipment, including a precision balance used for packaging.

In Naples' Arenella district, officers observed a 64‑year‑old woman carrying heavy grocery bags that emitted a strong marijuana odor. She was stopped and found to be transporting 536 g of marijuana concealed in a yellow bag. A subsequent home search uncovered 364 g of hashish hidden in her refrigerator. She was placed under house arrest on charges of possession for the purpose of distribution.
