Carabinieri conduct multi-agency operation in Caserta province

Carabinieri, supported by Enel technicians and ASL Caserta inspectors, conducted a multi-agency law enforcement operation across Casapulla, Curti, and Santa Maria Capua Vetere in the Caserta province.

In Casapulla, authorities discovered an illegal connection to the public electricity grid used by a 31-year-old man currently under house arrest. The theft resulted in an estimated economic loss of 9,000 euros. The individual has been reported to judicial authorities for aggravated electricity theft.

In Curti, an inspection of a butcher shop revealed severe hygienic and sanitary violations. Authorities seized approximately 400 kg of meat and food products that lacked traceability and were stored in improper conditions. The business was immediately suspended, and a 38-year-old Moroccan national found on the premises without a valid residence permit is facing expulsion proceedings.

In Santa Maria Capua Vetere, a targeted search led to the dismantling of a clandestine warehouse containing 621 packs of smuggled foreign cigarettes.
