Pescara and Pordenone report police enforcement and criminal investigations
In Pescara, local police issued 22 sanctions in a single evening for violations of an anti-alcohol ordinance. The measure, enacted by Mayor Carlo Masci, prohibits the consumption of alcoholic beverages in public areas, including parking lots, squares, and the seafront, between 5:00 PM and 6:00 AM from August 15 to September 30. Officers observed groups of people using car trunks as makeshift bars. Additionally, several vehicles were cited for irregular parking in areas such as Piazza Primo Maggio and Largo Mediterraneo.
In Pordenone, a youth football coach has been placed under house arrest following an investigation by the Carabinieri and the Trieste Prosecutor's Office. The probe began in January after the individual was caught with thousands of child pornography images on his phone, some of which allegedly depicted young players in locker rooms. Investigators have identified 24 potential victims and have inspected 14 sports facilities to reconstruct the timeline of the suspect's activities between 2021 and 2026.
