Carabinieri enforce house‑arrest breach and theft charges in Ancona province
Carabinieri in the province of Ancona arrested a 27‑year‑old resident of Filottrano after finding him in the town's central Piazza Garibaldi, violating house arrest imposed for drug‑related offences. The Ancona Court of Appeal revoked his domiciliary measures and ordered custodial detention, and he was taken to the prison in Montacuto.
In a separate case, the same Carabinieri unit identified two foreign women, both in their early twenties, as suspects in an aggravated theft. They allegedly stole a high‑end laptop valued at around €2,800 from a large appliance store in the Baraccola commercial area of Ancona in March. After a detailed video‑surveillance investigation, the women were placed under investigation and released pending trial.
Both operations demonstrate the Carabinieri's ongoing efforts to address criminal activity and protect public safety in the region.
