Carabinieri in Sassuolo seize hashish, telescopic baton and switchblade in series of raids

On the evening of 30 June, Carabinieri of the Sassuolo company stopped two Moroccan nationals in Via Sassi. The 37‑year‑old was found with about 1.5 g of hashish and the 20‑year‑old with roughly 0.98 g. The drugs were administratively seized and the individuals reported to the Prefecture of Modena.

The following night, 1 July, a 34‑year‑old resident of Sassuolo was checked in Via Pista and discovered with approximately 0.7 g of hashish, which was likewise confiscated and the case forwarded to the competent authority.

On the morning of 3 July, Carabinieri conducting a check in Via Radici in Piano found a 52‑year‑old Italian driver in his car carrying an illegal steel telescopic baton and a nine‑centimetre switchblade. Both weapons were seized under criminal law and the suspect placed under investigation.
