Alessia Penge appointed first female commander of Fossano Carabinieri

Captain Alessia Penge has been appointed as the new commander of the Carabinieri Company in Fossano, making her the first woman to hold this leadership position in the history of the local company.

Penge succeeds Captain Alessandro Cantarella, who is transferring to the Anti-Crime Section of the Ros in Udine. The transition was marked by a ceremony at the Fossano Town Hall, attended by Mayor Dario Tallone and various local institutional representatives.

Local authorities expressed gratitude to Cantarella for his service since March 2023. Looking forward, the municipality and the Carabinieri plan to collaborate on video surveillance projects, with the city making its camera network and operations center available to the force.
