A high-speed pursuit involving four suspects following an attempted residential theft in Urgnano, Bergamo, ended in Cassina de' Pecchi after the suspects violently rammed a Carabinieri patrol car.

The chase spanned several kilometers across the provinces of Bergamo and Milan, passing through towns including Trezzo sull'Adda, Gorgonzola, and Masate. During the collision with the Pioltello Company's service vehicle, two Carabinieri officers were injured and transported to the hospital for medical treatment.

Authorities managed to arrest one of the four occupants, while the remaining three suspects fled and are currently being sought by police. The Nuovo Sindacato Carabinieri of Milan and Bergamo has expressed support for the injured officers and called for increased operational protections and stricter legal consequences for those who attack law enforcement.
