Carabinieri Promote Sports and Road Safety at European Universities Games 2026 in Montoro

During the European Universities Games 2026 organized by the University of Salerno, the Carabinieri’s Compagnia di Solofra and the Sezione Pugilato di Napoli set up a stand at the Sandro Pertini stadium in Montoro. Around 400 students and accompanying adults visited the booth, where the troops explained the history and structure of the Carabinieri, the role of the Carabinieri Sports Center, and how athletes can join the force.

The interactive display featured institutional videos, images of Carabinieri athletes, and a road‑safety simulation carpet that, with special glasses, let participants experience driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs. The Carabinieri also offered self‑defence training sessions, allowing young people to practice techniques with the boxing unit. The event aimed to foster sporting values, promote the Carabinieri’s community role, and raise awareness of road‑safety issues among youths.
