Carabinieri report 18 DUI offenses in Terni province during August
During the month of August, the Carabinieri conducted intensive road safety checks across the province of Terni, resulting in 18 individuals being reported for driving under the influence. The enforcement actions took place in Terni, Amelia, and Orvieto, triggered by both routine checkpoints and following road accidents.
Of those reported, 12 individuals were charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, while 6 were charged for driving under the influence of narcotics. The latter group specifically faced charges following a refusal to undergo psychophysical testing. The individuals involved ranged in age from 19 to 65 and included 15 Italian citizens and 3 foreign nationals.
In most instances, driving licenses were confiscated. In two cases, individuals were reported for driving without a license because their documents had been previously revoked or never obtained. Additionally, six vehicles were seized with the intent of confiscation. One specific case in the Orvieto area involved a vehicle that was already under a previous seizure order.
